A visionary in this field is Herbert Weirather, an aerospace engineer who founded Jedsy, a startup for cargo drones. With the founding of the company, Weirather is actively working to enable efficient and responsive medication transport in developing countries.

“I started flying model airplanes when I was twelve—I’ve just always loved building things,” says Herbert Weirather, reflecting on his first encounters with aviation. His passion for flying runs like a thread through his life: in 2016, he launched the first Drone Champions League, a racing series for remote-controlled flying devices. He now brings this wealth of experience into the world of autonomous delivery drones.
